Sweet Auburn Walking Tour

This tour explores the rich history of Auburn Avenue, also called "Sweet Auburn." At the time, the name was given to refer to the once "richest negro street in the world" with a high concetration of black owned businesses in the country. See the details of this tour and book today.

 
 
  • The Sweet Auburn Walking Tour is a walking tour beginning at Auburn Avenue and Park Place and ending at the Birth Home of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

  • Distance: One mile walk

    Duration: 1 to 1.5 hours depending on stops in between.

    Please wear very comfortable shoes and dress appropriately according to the weather. (No walking tours during inclement weather).

    Booking: All tours must be booked at least 72 hours in advance.

  • Because this is a walking tour, masks are optional. We do ask that proper social distancing is maintained for the duration of the tour. If customers are experiencing ANY COVID related symptoms, we ask that you please take the tour at a later date.
